The Philosophy

"Proportion isn't an afterthought. It's the entire reason this atelier exists. Standard sizing assumes a height. We assume yours."

— Céline Aubert, Founder
01

Re-engineered blocks

Every pattern drafted from a 5'2" form. Not a scaled-down standard — a purpose-built foundation.

02

Three fittings minimum

Each piece goes through three rounds of fitting adjustments before it earns a production order.

03

One standard: yours

No alterations expected. No tailor bills. The seam lands where it should, the first time.

The People Behind the Fit

Three people.
One obsession.

This isn't a brand that slapped a "petite" label on scaled-down standard sizes. Meet the team that re-engineered every block from scratch.

"Every block I draft starts at zero. No scaled-down standard — just the proportions your frame actually needs."

Marguerite spent 14 years at a Parisian atelier before joining Petite. She re-engineers every bodice block from a 5'2" fit form, shortening rise distances, raising waistlines, and repositioning darts so the fabric falls where it should — not where a standard grader assumed.

Yuki Tanaka

"I've worn every piece through three fittings. If the sleeve cap puckers or the waist gaps, it doesn't leave this room."

Yuki stands at 5'1" and has tested every Petite garment since the first sample run. Her feedback drives the difference between a piece that photographs well and one that moves beautifully — through a board meeting, a gallery opening, or a long afternoon in the city.

12years as a fashion director before founding Petite

Céline Aubert

"My fourth alteration receipt in a single month. That's when I stopped accepting it and started building the answer."

Céline launched Petite after 12 years as a fashion director — 12 years of watching the industry treat petite sizing as a margin note. She built the atelier around a single rule: no piece ships until it fits a woman under 5'4" as well as it photographs. That rule hasn't changed.
